When I get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, I have no idea where I am nor which way to turn. We are in the middle of a two month stint of traveling, experiencing the challenges and freedom of nomads. Carrying all of our belongings in backpacks and "immigrant sacks"' we hop on and off of buses without a clue as to the characteristics of our destination. We're together 24/7, enjoying the relationships but at times craving individual space. In the next few weeks we will decide where we want to plant our feet for five months in Ecuador. Our priorities include living in a safe place where we can immerse into Latin culture and speak Spanish. Of equal importance is to find a good school for our boys. Of course Bob and I would like to engage in meaningful work, but that takes third priority. We have the rest of our lives to do that. Our sabbatical year is unfolding with grace, intrigue, and divine provision. Our patience is tested and strengthened as we share responsibility
